4 Soccer Drills You Can Do Everywhere

Soccer like one of the most famous sports, first of all requires a high level of talent. But training on your own is helpful way to develop and improve your performance and skills.Soccer player should be completely comfortable and confident with the soccer ball, so he will be able to impact the game the way he should.

For example, Maradona who is considered to be most skilful and dynamic soccer player of all time, spent a lot of time practicing on his own. Every soccer player besides the team trainings, spends a lot more time training only with a ball every single day.

One French study shows how much time actually the players spend with the ball at their feet in one soccer match. Their research was based on 30 First Division matches in two seasons. Researchers came to a result that players had an average of 47 possessions per match, and two touches on the ball per possession. In a 90 minute match, that is not a lot of time spent with the soccer ball.

That is why soccer experts recommend self-trainings as much as possible, because team trainings and games are not enough for improving specific skills.

“Repetition is the mother of skill, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.” – Zig Ziglar

The great thing about a sport like soccer is that you can practice your skills almost everywhere you want. All you need is a ball, par of shoes and some cones. For passing and receiving you can use a wall.

There are four soccer drills you can do on your own shown in the video below. Two of them require a wall or a partner and two do not. The video includes:
